After ten years, I have made the decision to step down as your “fearless leader” here at CVT. Don’t worry, I’m OK…and I still love my Trailblazer friends. I just need to take a break from the daily responsibilities of running a hiking group and perhaps pursue other things. I’m not going anywhere – I still plan to lead occasional hikes and help out wherever needed.
I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t have a qualified replacement lined up, and thankfully Kim has agreed to step up! Choosing Kim was a no-brainer for me. She is literally the only person in the world I would trust to take over the group. She has been the heart and soul of CVT since our humble beginnings in 2011, and besides being one of my best friends, she loves the great outdoors and is an awesome event organizer. She already has some cool trips in the works for 2021 as well as some changes that I think you’ll really like and that I fully support. I will let the boss tell you about that when she’s ready. 🙂
So that’s it! I am grateful to everyone who has supported me and the group over the years. It has been and will continue to be a huge part of my life. Now please join me in congratulating Kim on her much deserved and long overdue promotion! (Kim, don’t %$*# it up!)
