Member Profiles & Event RSVPs (Reminders)

We’re in the midst of fall hiking season, and many of our events are filling up!  This is a good time to remind you of few requirements that all Trailblazers must meet in order to sign up for and attend events:

• You must have a photo of yourself (avatar) on your profile.  It’s best to use a relatively close-up photo, as the avatars are pretty small. You are able to crop profile photos once uploaded.
• Your publicly displayed name should be your first name or name you typically go by.  It is helpful (but not required) to include your last name or initial, especially if your first name is a common one.  If you need to have your name changed, please contact us and we can change it for you.  Names cannot be changed from your profile page.
• When you RSVP for an event, you are committing to being there, and the organizer is expecting you.  We understand that things come up, but please update your RSVP (preferred), post a comment, or notify the organizer directly as soon as possible.

These rules have been in place for many years.  We haven’t been strictly enforcing them in recent months, but we have recently begun contacting some of you.  Members who do not reply or remain out of compliance will be “un-RSPV’d” from events, and members with three or more no-shows may be removed from the group.  Organizers, please help spread the word at your events.
