BREAKING NEWS…We have a TIE in the new member referral contest! This is unprecedented! Trailblazers Keith and Zi each referred three new members to CVT in June. I only have one L.L. Bean gift card to give away, so I am extending the contest until this Wednesday at 6:30pm. If we still have a tie at that time, we’ll flip a coin before the Bryan Park hike that night. In addition to shamelessly plugging CVT on Facebook, Keith has added two new sunset hikes to the calendar. He’ll be doing the Pipeline/Floodwall/T-Pot hike on Thursday, 7/13, and Tuesday, 7/18. Sign up and enjoy great views of the river and the downtown skyline!
If you’re new to the group, we want to highlight a couple of bigger trips that you may have missed on our calendar. One is a camping trip to Cumberland Gap National Historic Park over Labor Day weekend (part of our “Gappy Trails” hike series). The other is CVT Beach Week II in October, where we’ll be staying at a luxury oceanfront beach house in Corolla! Full and half-week options are available for a very reasonable cost. We will have planning/meet-and-greet meetings for both of these in the near future.
