Continuing the northbound shuttle hike adventure on the AT in Shenandoah National Park.  This roughly 12 miles of joy will take you to the top of Stony Man Mountain, the Pinnacles and Mary’s rock before descending 1300 feet to the Panorama parking area.  This is a long hike but relatively flat until the descending finale.  I would rate this as moderate to strenuous hike only because of the distance involved.  You will need to be able to walk at a steady 2 mph rate over uneven terrain to be right for this hike.  Because of the limited daylight I am starting the hike at 7:30am.

The return time is approximate.  If you have plans that require you to be back in Richmond at a specific time, please communicate this prior to carpooling with someone, or consider choosing a different hike.

Optional stop for dinner on the way back if there is interest.
