This is a series of day shuttle hikes along the Appalachian Trail covering all three sections of Shenandoah National Park. This hike is a bit more of a challenge then our previous casual strolls. We will walk 11.2 miles north gaining about 2000 feet before we summit Hightop Mountain. We will then descend Hightop giving back 1000 ft. After this hike, you will say good bye to the south section of SNP. This will be the final hike in the WBTD series until the cooler weather arrives again in the fall.
Optional stop at a local brewery and restaurant as a reward for your effort. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to raise a few blisters!
