In 2015, Darius Nabors quit his job at the University of Virginia to go on a 59-week trip to visit all 59 US National Parks. He finished his trip on August 25th, 2016 (the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service) with a sunrise on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. His trip took him to the depths of the Colorado River on a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. He hiked to the top of Mauna Loa in Hawai’i Volcanoes and sledded the largest sand dune in North America in Great Sand Dunes. He will be appearing at the Short Pump REI to tell stories of his travels. Prepare to laugh, cry, and be inspired by the beautiful places that our country has to offer.

The class starts at 6:30pm and lasts about an hour.  Stick around after the presentation for optional dinner at one of the nearby eateries!

Please RSVP for “Presentation Only” or “Presentation & Dinner” (no Trail Bucks needed for either).  You must also register with REI to reserve your spot!
