This “urban” hike is a challenging 8-mile loop combining several trails within the James River Park System. It is a CVT favorite due to its challenging terrain and outstanding views of the river and the Richmond skyline. It is also a great hike for anyone interested in transitioning from our shorter, easier hikes to more strenuous all-day mountain hikes. Expect to spend three hours on the trail. Hikers need to be alert, as mountain bikers frequent these trails.
