We’re adding some variety to our monthly “Sundays On The James” hike series! Instead of repeating the Buttermilk/North Bank loop every month as we have for years, we’re going to try rotating that hike with a few of our other popular James River hikes.
This month’s James River hike is a moderate 6 to 8 mile loop that includes the historic Richmond Slave Trail, Great Shiplock Park, as well as parts of Church Hill and Shockoe Bottom. It is a CVT favorite due to its convenient location and outstanding views of the river and the Richmond skyline. It is also a great hike for beginners or anyone interested in getting in some exercise without committing to a daylong out-of-town trip. Expect to spend about three hours outdoors.
Hope to see you there!
