Our last “Sunday on the James” for 2018. Come celebrate the wonder in our backyard and burn off some of the holiday cheer. Got family in town? Bring them and show off our treasure. ***Note the time change to 10am as to let it warm up a bit***

This month’s James River hike is a moderate to 7.5 mile loop that includes the North Bank and Buttermilk trail as well as parts of Pump House park and Texas Beach.  It is a CVT favorite due to its convenient location, outstanding views of the river and the Richmond skyline, and challenging terrain.  It is also a great hike for anyone interested in transitioning from our shorter, easier hikes to more strenuous all-day mountain hikes.  Expect to spend three hours on the trail.  Hikers need to be alert, as mountain bikers frequent these trails.

**Dogs are allowed but please note that the trail may be difficult for dogs in some spots and dogs sometimes struggle with the T-Pot bridge.**
