This trip features two popular circuits originating from a single point the Blue Ridge Parkway. One Humpback Rocks, with its breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley and Shenandoah National Park. The other is Dobie Mountain, featuring Glass Hollow Overlook, the Paul Wolfe Shelter, and a visible plane wreck just off the trail.
The return time is approximate. If you have plans that require you to be back in Richmond at a specific time, please communicate this prior to carpooling with someone, or consider choosing a different hike.
Bring some snacks for the trail, but don’t spoil your appetite! Following the hike we’ll visit historic Michie Tavern for an all-you-can-eat pre-Thanksgiving feast!
