Fortunes Cove Nature Preserve
The 5.5-mile loop trail climbs steeply from the parking area, gaining some 1,725 feet in elevation before reaching its highest point. Hikers should be in good physical condition and should allow about four hours to complete the yellow trail. A gravel parking area and kiosk with trail map are at the preserve entrance; there are no restrooms.
We will hike the trail as described on Hiking Upward. You will be rewarded with some great views and on the back half of the hike you will see The Priest, Three Ridges and Wintergreen Resort.
Optional stop for meal on the way back if there is interest.
