***WARNING….longer days are back. let’s kick-start a great spring hiking season.***
Flash events are last minute things to do for folks who are always bored (like me) and to fill in the gaps between other awesome CVT events. Come with me on this adventure and let’s make some mistakes together.
Please join us for a 4.32 mile hike around the James River. We will start at the Legends Brewery and from there hike the Buttermilk extension to Belle Island. We will visit the rapids/dam at the western edge of the island, then cross the James via the Belle Isle bridge. We will then do a short loop of Brown’s island then cross the T-Pot bridge back to Legends. Optional hang out and grab a pint at Legends. The weather looks to be perfect; so it will be a great time to hang out on the Legends porch and gaze at the city lights.
The pace will be manageable for all fitness levels with plenty of stops for pictures and witty banter. However, please be aware that some dogs struggle with getting their nails caught in the T-Pot bridge.
