Virginia Capital Trail - Four Mile Creek Trailhead
We will be riding the Capital Trail from the Four Mile Creek Trailhead in Henrico to the Berkeley Plantation which is approximately 1.5 miles off of the trail. The Berkeley Plantation is having the Virginia Thanksgiving Festival starting at 12 Noon on this Sunday. After spending about an hour at the festival where food will be available to purchase – most notably the Thanksgiving in a Glass – we will ride the return trip back to Four Mile Creek Trailhead. Mileage in each direction is just under 15 miles for a total of just under 30 miles. The pace with be casual at 8-12mph.
Though the great majority of this trip is on the paved Capital Trail, be prepared to deal with car traffic also headed to the festival on the dirt and gravel 1.5 miles riding to the Berkeley Plantation from the Capital Trail and back.
Please bring a bike in good working order, a helmet to wear while riding, a spare tube and water for the ride as there will not be water available on the trail. Hope to see you there!
