We’ve all seen the images on TV. This Sunday you can see them in person and get some exercise at the same time. Starting from Pump House Park, we’ll meander through the woods up to the Carillon, search for Columbus in Byrd Park, continue up Arthur Ashe Boulevard, and head east along Monument Avenue.
This isn’t a protest or demonstration, and I know this is a sensitive issue for many. Friendly discussion is welcome, but let’s try to resist the temptation to bring politics into it. Also, I suspect things will be calm on a Sunday morning.

GUIDELINES FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING IN THE AGE OF COVID
- Bring hand sanitizer and a mask or face covering. Use when necessary.
- Avoid physical contact with other participants. Do not share food or hiking gear.
- Maintain a safe distance from others when hiking or congregating before hikes.
- Avoid use of public restrooms and facilities when possible.
- Stay home if you are sick, symptomatic, or have been exposed to others in either category.

- Meet in the dirt parking lot at Pump House Park. Entrance is just north of the Boulevard Bridge.
