Lots of new events on the calendar! Here are the latest additions:
Beginning this week, Penny is leading a series of weekly sunset hikes at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County. She is working her way up to the 13-mile Fendley Station Trail which loops around the entire park. The first hike is this Tuesday, and you can sign up here. Thanks Penny!
Keith has added two sunset hikes along the James River. Highlights include Brown’s Island, the Pipeline Trail, the Floodwall, and the new “T-Pot” pedestrian bridge. The dates are Tuesday, June 27th, and Thursday, July 6th. Thanks Keith!
I have posted a second set of Wednesday night sunset hikes through the remainder of the summer season, so look for those as well.

Looking ahead to July, CVT “FLOATZILLA” is back for its 5th year! Beat the heat and grab a cooler for a lazy day of floating down the James River in Scottsville. It’s scheduled for Saturday, July 15th…join us!
And in September, I’m planning a special three-night camping trip as part of “GAPPY TRAILS 2017”. We’ll be heading to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park to explore the trails, caves, and historic sites. Reserve your spot today!
